Title: On the Lexicalization of Korean Manner Demonstratives from the Perspective of Mental Lexicon

Abstract: The degree of lexicalization of manner demonstratives irəhke, kɯrəhke, ʧərəhke in Korean is controversial. We argued that, based on the mental lexicon, the lexical status of Korean manner demonstratives should be accepted. Firstly, the suffix -ke is a complex of inflection and derivation. Secondly, under the competition of blocking and regularity, irəhke, kɯrəhke, ʧərəhke are the best candidates. Finally, the productivity of -ke in irəhke, kɯrəhke, ʧərəhke is lower than general -ke formations.
