Title: Research on Online English Teaching Evaluation Based on Learners’ Academic Emotion

Abstract: The online teaching carried out since the outbreak of the epidemic is a new challenge and experience for college teachers and students. Based on learners’ academic emotions and taking foreign language majors’ online learning as an example, this study deeply understands the needs and experience of online learners, evaluates online teaching courses, and provides a basis for the identification of curriculum quality and the inspection of teaching effect at the present stage. The study designs learners’ online learning Academic Emotion Scale and questionnaire, and carries out questionnaire surveys on students. It can be seen from the research that, on the whole, in the online learning environment during the epidemic, the students’ perception of positive emotions is higher than that of negative emotions, and the students’ feelings of positive high wake-up emotions such as happiness and hope are the highest, indicating that students can still maintain a good learning state and motivation for continuous learning during the online learning of the epidemic. However, the analysis of negative emotions can also reflect the lack of interaction and systematic teaching design in online education. The research provides reference and suggestions for the development of online teaching in the future.
