Title: A Study on the New Trends in 21st-Century British Narrative Nonfiction
Abstract: In the 21st century, Narrative Nonfiction has gradually emerged as a significant literary phenomenon in British. As an independent literary genre, Narrative Nonfiction inherits from the realist tradition of British literature and makes innovations. It is characterized by two core features: “authenticity” and “immediacy,” which reflect the multifaceted perceptions of British society across various sectors and foster a polyphonic discourse on democratic issues. Furthermore, the study of non-fiction writers has become an essential component of research into contemporary literary trends. The self-expression demands of British citizens, coupled with the supportive atmosphere cultivated by literary institutions, provide valuable insights for the development of Narrative Nonfiction and the construction of a humanistic environment in China.
