Title: The Connotation and Construction Strategies of Chinese Discourse

Abstract: This research, with a review of discourse studies at home and abroad, analyzes the connotation, content, method, construction resources and route of Chinese discourse. It is argued that Chinese discourse, one indispensable part of social practice in modern China, is the representation of Chinese socialism and functions as an important means for discursive construction of national identity. As for the studies of Chinese discourse, it is necessary to focus on specific discourse practices of modern China on the one hand and to cultivate the talent in discourse and intercultural studies and to improve the nation’s discourse competence on the other.
