Title: Life Epistemology of Translation Studies

Abstract: The life epistemology of translation studies is based on an understanding and interpretation of textual life, source-textual life, target-textual life and afterlife along with their interrelationships. A text continues to live in a new translational environment. In this sense, the generation of translation is the practical embodiment of the transmigration from the source-textual life into the target-textual life. Textual life is the starting point and destination of the translation, which can be continued and developed in the new translational environment only when the translation is realized as effectively as possible in the transmigration. The holistic exploration of textual life and its relevant concepts is not only for our reflection on the life epistemology of translation studies, but also the fusion of different life concepts, from which a means of understanding life in translation studies is extracted to construct a life epistemology.
