Title: Translating Chinese Literature into English: On The Translation Studies of Yang Xianyi

Abstract: Translation Studies of Yang Xianyi covers Yang Xianyi’s life-long pursuit of translation, a study of Yang from the perspective of translation studies, Yang’s translation practice from foreign languages into Chinese, Yang’s C-E translation, together with his translation poetics. It is a monograph on Chinese-English translation within the framework of comparative translation studies, which investigates and discusses Yang’s translation practice and translation theory on a systematic basis so as to shed light upon the current English translation of Chinese literature.
